Just some info on low poundage setups for plains game, I have spoken to both Fritz Rabe and Dr Adrian de villiers, both PHs who need no introduction. Both advice was , shoot around 10gr per pound of draw weight, use a super sharp cut on contact and you will be good to go if shot placement is correct. Both emphasized heavy arrows..If I use my nephew as an example, he shoots a 50lb Hoyt, 580gr arrows, Magnus stingers,he got a pass through on a kudu and a Bwb, slow setup but working wonders for him. Just passing along info , have-not tried this myself.

Momentum beteken baie meer as KE vir lae pond setups. Daar is n rede hoekom Trad manne swaar pyle skiet. N Trad boog op 60# is nie ver van n compound op 50# nie. Ek is seker die manne soos Fred Bear het ook probeer ligte pyle skiet uit trad boë en toe maar op swaar stadige pyle vasgehak omdat dit werk.
