Why don't Trad shooters use mechanicals?

Postby Antlion » Sun Sep 11, 2016 9:10 am

Posting this purely out of curiosity. With Mechanicals out that are designed for lower poundage bows, why don't trad shooters use them? Are fixed blades more effective due to the speeds and poundages involved,or is it just against the whole idea of traditional gear?

Traditional archers take advantage of the benefits provided by fixed 2 blade broad heads over mechanicals that consumes ke to open up, which low poundage traditional archers don't have in abundance.

In most cases you will find that they shoot fixed 2 blade bh with generally heavier arrows than corresponding low poundage compound bow archers.

I am not starting the whole debate again!
