I went 3 times this year - and next weekend is the next one. I March I shot the blesbuck with the
Bowtech and then I bought the crossbow, and I just had to try it out!! I am now on my second impala
with the crossbow. I think I am addicted to it!! My shoulder is heeling much better since I stopped
with the compound.

July will be slow (year-end and auditors.... :cry: ) but I think I will have to go in August again....

I bought a Tenpoint Turbo GT from Magnum about 6 weeks ago - so far no change in
my scope. I replaced the service at Potshot and I had to make small changes after that.
I used too much lube and it stuffed up the serving. Not reading the manual!!. The worse the
serving looked, the more lube I used and then saw on their QA I went the wrong way by
using more lube.

After the last hunt, I moved over to Carbon Core arrows. Vick organized heavier inserts for
me so the arrow weight went up from 425gr to 500gr with 100gr points.

Jag niemand die jaar nie? Iemand moet bietjie n live hunt blog hier, Deon kom in?

Thank you, it had a really nice set of horns for a black one, was very lucky to get a shot at him at 150m as most shots are longer in the karoo.

The second one i shot was at 215m and the Kudu at just over 200m. Both springbuck were shot with my 223Rem and the kudu with my 375H&H. Was very lucky to have just over 1kg of wastage on all 3 animals combined.

I used the normal brown box PMP 55gr softs on the 223Rem. Head shots on both springbuck. And a Federal Premium 300gr Nosler Partition and a high neck shot on the kudu. I dont feed the 375 bad bullets as it can only get messy if a 300gr bullet acts like a varminter.

The entrance and exit holes in the skin of the kudu was about as big as a finger tip. And only real wastage was after the bullet shattered the neck and left about a 100mm diameter tube after the spine of meat damage.
