Hey Guys

Thanks for the replies, was starting to get really lonely out there.
Anyway - I am not TOTALLY on the DARK SIDE.
I have a couple of verticals as well
Bowtech Allegiance 70# and 30"
Hoyt TurboHawk also 70# and 30", and the sweetest little
Mission Craze any # up to 70 and any " up to 30. Light, smooth and quiet.

Although after shooting the Xbw, any vertical is quie.

Have a great day

Hello John,

I bough a Excalibur Vixen II (150 pound) for my wife. What an amazing weapon. Currently I'm completely hooked on her Xbow.

Already modified it to such an extent it has more gadgets on than their high end model (Equinox). Even build my own custom string with the assistance of Dale. What a differnce that made. 285fps, 66 foot pound kinetic energy. (The same as a 65 - 70 pound vertical bow). As quite as a mouse with all the mods I have added on.

Still need to add on a few more things to be completely satisfied.Going hunting with the Xbow next week, will post pic's after the hunt.

When I'm finished with the upgrades, I will show some pic's of the Vixen II. Still need to wait a few months for parts from Canada.

I have already spoken to Harry from SABA, they are going to allow me to compete (6 Aug 2011) with the Vixen II, in a different class obviously.

Maybe you can join me....

Have a great weekend.

Hi Shadow

Good to hear from another Xbower.

My rig is a Scorpyd Telson 130 with a Hawke XB30 scope on.
I am currently shooting 537 gr. Gold Tip IV arrows @ 347 -349 fps.
The KE is awesome, the accuracy is something else. I have to shoot at a target with 5 "bulls " onearrow per bull, so that i don't destroy arrows.
Can't wait to hunt with it.
For interests sake ( and 'go faster ego trip) i want to try and build a few arrows at the bottom end of the weight allowance, cause i think that >400 FPS is possible.
When i use either of my verticals after an Xbow session then 260 FPS seems like soooo slooow !. BUT quiet.

Let us know how the hunt went.
Best regards
Johnno

Hi Guys

Your not alone. I'm hunting with a Horton Vision 175 reverse limb tech. I shoot a 490g bolt with a 100g rage broad head. All I can say is this setup is deadly.

I have being fortunate to hunt an Eland, Kudu, warthog and duiker this season. An all animal I had a pass thru and not one animal ran for longer than 20 meters.

Just thought I share with you my experience.
