Bushwhacked Bow Press

Postby Big D » Thu May 07, 2009 10:02 am

I was asked the other day to come up with a bow press which is both affordable, but yet could do the job, as the ones available on our market are a bit pricey for most of us plebs out there. I was also asked to make a "Deluxe version" for 1 client, which took a bit of kop krap, but we got there in the end. Here are my 2 latest projects.

Image

This model I call the Bush Whacked Field Bow Press. I obviously still need to send the units for anodizing and power coating and I also still need to add more "bites" to the cables, in order to ensure that it to covers the entire bow range available on the market. The cable I used on the photo is only a demo cable, so please bear with me. I'm also still awaiting the protective rubber caps for the limb rests, but I will post the final pics once theunits are completed.

This model I call the Bush Whacked Pro Bow Press. I used solid aluminum, which I milled down to the adequate size. I will also changing the grub screws, to normal counter sunk screws, but this will purely be for aesthetic reasons as I think they'll just present better. The cable I used for this pic, is the same as the one on the other pic, so as mentioned, I still need to make a few additions to the cables. The protective rubber caps for the limb rests, will aslo be added once I receive them and the rests return from anodizing. These units must still all be polished and smoothed, which should give them a much better finish, but I am sure you can get the general idea.

With a little bit of luck, I will have my new bow press which I am about to launch, back from the powder coating as well today, I will post the pics and pricing once it is complete. Watch this space!!!!!
:D :D :D

Baie Netjies Big D

Jou pryse is regtig baie goed.

Well gedaan!!!

- Boomstoele (reeds beskikbaar)
- Boomstoele met platforms (reeds beskikbaar)
- Boomstoel Harnasse (nog so rukkie)
- Portable Bow Presses (reeds beskikbaar)
- Bow Slings (so 2 weke max)
- Reostate (nog so rukkie, dis my volgende projek op die "to do list"
- Bow pods (nog so 3 weke)
